Create New Siri With Artificial Intelligence (AI) Miracle
According to the reports, Apple is working on updating AI suite for iOS 18 version with a strong emphasis on improving Siri’s performance.The aim? To simplify daily tasks and boost productivity at work. Integration of AI algorithms is one of the most prominent enhancements rumored to let Siri be the more intelligent and follows the users more with the new traits owned by the improved and upgraded Siri virtual assistant.
According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple is now negotiating with OpenAI, the creator of ChatGPT, an ultramodern language model. While Apple has built a robust AI framework for iOS 18, the tech giant aims to partner with OpenAI to leverage its excellence in building a “Chatbot/Search component” in the new system. Additionally, last month, Apple was in discussion with Google to get the license of its latest chatbot, called Gemini, to add to the new features of the iPhone.
Achieving the balance between the On-device Processing and the Cloud Integration
The new open-source large language models released by Apple for on-device processing reduce the risk of privacy invasion as well as improve task efficiency. Local AI capabilities allow offloading tasks from cloud servers so that tasks will be completed faster and data security will be protected. Yet the trade-off involves a scarce availability of cloud computer resources for complex AI applications. Gurman proposes the possibility of Apple adopting this model by, at the same time, integrating some cloud-based AI features powered by ChatGPT or Google in Gemini into iOS 18, offering the users the best of cloud and personal technologies.
With the upcoming release of iOS 18 at WWDC 2024, Apple is aggressively pushing for a more intelligent iOS environment that will redefine the user experience. WWDC, or the Worldwide Developers Conference, is a grand stage for Apple to showcase its iOS 18 system.
